One question we get a lot here at JB Instant Lawn is-
Which soil should I use for my new lawn installation?
The answer is simple- The "ideal" soil for most lawn install situations is LOAM.
Why Loam?
Loam soil serves as the ideal foundation for your lawn due to its unique composition of sand, silt, and clay.
This highly desirable soil type offers the perfect balance of drainage and moisture retention- creating a base with 50% solids and 50% water and air space.
Loam soil delivers both proper exchange capacity and critical capilary space- This means plants can root, 'feed', 'drink', 'breathe' and carry out life easily with minimal stress or difficulty. In other words, you'll have a healthier and happier lawn with fewer problems...;-).
So for best establishment and future success of your new lawn- LOAM is the answer!
